Role overview:

TermScout is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team. This unique opportunity will require a diverse set of skills, empathy towards our users, and drive to advance the state of the art in category-defining offerings. You’ll work directly with and report to the VP of Product & Growth in this highly strategic role. You’ll be heavily involved in user research and user testing, prototyping, and supporting the product development and go-to-market efforts for a new, fast-growing startup. Our team is nimble, experienced, and very collaborative, so it’s essential that you are able to effectively work with others, as well as communicate clearly with users and team members of diverse backgrounds.

The company is based in Denver, Colorado, but we are a distributed team. Both local and remote applicants are welcome. Candidates must live in and be authorized to work in the United States. Our process moves quickly and involves a phone screen, video interview, and leadership interview which can all take place in roughly 2 weeks.

What you will be doing:

  • Driving the vision, strategy, design and execution of the core framework of products that serve as the foundation for the TermScout platform.
  • Proficiently designing and prototyping in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar industry-leading tools.
  • Collaborating with team members, keeping organized files, presenting iterative work to colleagues and test users.
  • Product discovery alongside product and engineering teams to design and test prototypes.
  • Establishing feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders and using feedback to guide product prioritization.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies to ensure the engineering team delivers products that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales leaders to position and message new products for go-to-market efforts.
  • Learning, trying new approaches and enabling new business practices.


  • 4+ years relevant experience in user experience design of digital products that have been released to market
  • A robust portfolio with details on your specific role and contribution, showcasing demonstrable passion for great design
  • Keen understanding of and passion for human-centered design
  • The ability to talk about your design solutions and confidence to stand behind your convictions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience analyzing data and turning insights into action
  • A love for marketing and driving user engagement

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing and launching B2B SaaS products
  • Experience in a legaltech, legal services, or other legal-adjacent role
  • Familiarity with the React framework and Google Material Guidelines
  • Graphic design, illustration and branding skills
  • Information architecture experience preferred
  • Product marketing skills, with an emphasis on self-service B2B web applications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technically relevant field preferred, or relevant work experience

Compensation: $100k - 125k base salary + stock options, commensurate with experience.
